![]() ![]() The story was good, ending was decent(Was a bit let down but with multiple endings they generally tend not to be deep more minor dialogue alterations at the end), the gunplay was fun throughout and at the end you really felt powerful but still a bit challenged by enemy variety and strength.ĭead Space 2 is only around 12 hours long and it's fun, scary and delivers a good story. After I came back a few days ago and started afresh not caring so much for finding all characters in each area as I visited each area I ended up having a blast and really focusing on the game as a whole. I found the beginning to be a bit dragging and a lot was thrown at me that felt like it was super important and required more of me(Locating each and every crew member but ended up just being something you do by default on the side and the terminals just helped you find ones you were missing). It's more of an RPG where you have multiple choices that have an impact than Dead Space which is more on the rails go to X, do Y and get to the end of the game. Prey is totally different to any of the Dead Space games. My answer would have to be both having just played Prey and having it on the back burner until now since it was released(Sometimes I just start a game, play the first hour or two then come back a month later and lose interest). If you were to ask me if Dead Space 2 is worth buying I would definitely say yes but you're asking to choose one over the other(Or both). ![]() It was a great series and one of full on terror evolving to a more action orientated series(As is generally the progression of horror series). I spent over an hour trying to pull the claw off, and the arm off, but decided to go for the leg instead and got it in one try.I've played and beat all of the Dead Space games(Dead Space 3 solo and then again in co-op which was a nice experience with additions added for the co-op character to add things up and make sense). The leg is a meatier body part to hit, and so is easier to shoot without missing too many shots in a tense situation. Another key point is that I am going after the leg, not the arm. A quick tap to your trigger will fire one shot at a time making it far easier to judge how much more until you can remove the limb. The key here is to make several shots and then begin pulling at the leg with Kinesis after every subsequent shot. Then I began to spam my Kinesis pull on the leg a few times to test if it was loose yet, before making one more and then successfully pulling the leg right off the body. The difficulty you are on and how upgraded your rifle is determines how many shots it will take, I am playing on Hard mode, and as you can see I made 7 shots to the left leg. Now, as you'll see in the clip here what I did was I used Stasis and froze an enemy Slasher, then I quickly moved behind it and opened fire with my Pulse Rifle. Refill your Stasis(time stop) energy, bring an extra recharge for it if you think you might need it.You can likely use the Plasma Cutter but make sure it does not have the fire upgrade, as that burns the limb off before you can grab it! Grab the Pulse Rifle weapon, preferably one that is NOT UPGRADED as the weaker it is the more precise in how many shots you need to take for a successful break. ![]() The spitter variants of these will also work, but we need something bipedal. ![]() These are the upright humanoid Necromorphs with two claw arms. Save your game and poke around the area until you find a reliable Slasher type enemy spawn.I've prepared a very short gameplay clip with no preamble that shows exactly how to do it with minimal effort, but first I'll tell you what to prepare ahead of your attempt to make it as smooth as possible. After a fair bit of trial and error, I managed to come up with a way that makes this achievement way easier. This guide is for those of us who passed beyond the point where the empty suits from the other solutions stop appearing. ![]()
